Immich v1.139 & v1.138

Immich continues to evolve rapidly—PixelUnion Immich instances are now rolling out versions v1.138.0 and v1.139.2! These releases bring a host of new features to make your media management experience even better.

Let’s dive into the highlights of these updates:

Key Features in v1.139.2

  • [Beta] New Image Rendering Pipeline: The mobile app now uses a custom image loading and rendering pipeline with multithreading and optimizations, greatly improving thumbnail quality and loading speed—especially on Android.
  • [Beta] Show Assets Pending Backup: You can now view which assets are still pending backup, making it easier to track down problematic uploads.
  • Option to Skip Entries in Duplicate Resolution Utility: The duplicate resolver tool now lets you skip entries and navigate the duplicate list more flexibly.
  • Add to Multiple Albums Action: On the web, assets can now be added to multiple albums at once from the album selection modal.

Key Features in v1.138.0

  • Reset PIN Code with Password: Users can now reset their own PIN code by providing their password, without needing admin intervention.
  • Reset OAuth ID: A new option allows users to reset their OAuth ID, useful when migrating to a new authentication provider.
  • [Beta] Swipe to Delete Album: The beta timeline now supports swipe-to-delete for albums.
  • [Beta] Improved Upload and Sync Process: Enhancements to the upload and sync process in the beta timeline.
  • [Beta] Map View with SQLite: The beta timeline introduces a map view powered by SQLite.
  • Create Shared Link for Albums (Mobile): Mobile users can now create shared links for albums.
  • Remove from Album in Asset Viewer Bar (Mobile): Assets can be removed from albums directly from the asset viewer bar.
  • Album Shared User Editing (Mobile): Edit shared users for albums on mobile.
  • Batch Change Date and Time Relatively: Change the date and time of multiple assets in batch, relatively.
  • Edit Image in Beta Timeline: Edit images directly in the beta timeline.
