PixelUnion turns one: we're celebrating!

One year ago, our first server in Europe went live! No big team, no big office - just two friends from Alkmaar with a clear conviction: your memories belong to you, not to an American tech company.

This day is dedicated to PixelUnion’s first birthday. And when it’s your birthday, you celebrate!

A year to be proud of

A lot has happened over the past year. We have welcomed thousands of users who made the conscious decision to leave Google Photos, iCloud and Dropbox. People who understand that digital independence matters and are genuinely willing to act on it.

We have continued to develop the platform, fixed problems, and every time something wasn’t right we were there. That will not change.

But above all we are proud of the community that has formed. People who consciously choose European storage. Who refer their friends and family. Who understand what it’s really about.

When it’s your birthday, you celebrate

Because we are growing, we can offer more. So we are immediately upgrading the storage of all existing 1TB plans to 2TB - at no extra cost. Nothing needs to change about your subscription, you simply get double the storage.

We are also introducing a new mid-tier plan for those who don’t yet need a full terabyte. Have a look at the changes:

We are far from done. There are exciting things in the pipeline and we grow every day. But today we take a moment to celebrate.
